Our Chef

“A native of Georgetown, South Carolina, Tracy Allen Knox cumulates over 20 years of culinary experience.
Tracy discovered his passion for food at an early age and continues honing his passion as Executive Chef for
The Bagel Cafe & Bakery and Debra G's Catering in Litchfield. Starting as a dishwasher at Community House, he quickly worked his way up through some prestigious establishments, notably with Chef Louis Osteen, who won the James Beard award in 2004 for Best Chef, where he learned to master preparing and plateing but most importantly, how to make a lot of people happy through his food. After serving four years in the Marine Corps, Knox utilizes the discipline he acquired then in his kitchen today, leading a well organized line. Tracy is detail oriented and believes that there are too many mediocre things in life and that food should not be one of them. Outside of the Bagel Cafe, Chef indulges in his love for photography of over 30 years and coaching track and football which he does currently. He is married to Jennifer Knox who is a school teacher and together they share a love for children and molding young minds. Tracy can often be seen giving out Monster Trucks to the kids who come and eat with their families at the Bagel Cafe. Chef Tracy has become an indispensable asset to the restaurant as he continues to bring his exquisite palate and creativity to everything he touches.”

  • Oven Roasted Chicken - Pieces of chicken, seasoned with fresh herbs and roasted with onions, carrots, and finished with a balsamic reduction.

  • Low Country Boil -Shell on Shrimp, Smoked Sausage, Red Skinned Potatoes, Corn-on-the-Cob, Celery & Onions, Hurricane Floyd Casserole, Fresh Garden Salad, with Regular and Jalapeno Cornbread.
